Navigating with Heart
Your heart is the light of this world.
Don’t cover it with your mind.
- Mooji
Some of us navigate life with our hearts.
It’s not always practical.
It doesn’t offer a direct path.
It pulls you toward the unknown,
toward places you didn’t even know existed.
And sometimes, toward beauty
you never knew to hope for.
That’s why I let my heart lead.
Because finding those unexpected places makes me feel alive.
And I desperately want to feel alive.
But clarity was never my heart’s strength.
You think you’re heading toward magic,
but end up lost in a dead end.
Maybe with logic, you’d at least know how you got there.
Maybe even how to find your way back.
But when your heart is the one driving,
you don’t get a map.
Just this ache in your chest
and the sinking feeling
that maybe you can’t trust yourself.
Dear Friend, that’s the exhaustion talking.
And it’s okay to be tired.
It’s okay to sit down where you are
and have a good, messy cry.
I do it all the time.
I promise you are so much bigger than your tears.
Push a little past their grey skies and you’ll feel it-
a version of you that can wrap you up in their arms
and listen to every hurt you’re holding.
The one who was with you before your first breath,
and who will be there long after your last.
You have galaxies inside you.
Beauty that aches to be expressed.
And if you look at where you are again
with those eyes, you’ll see:
You didn’t take a wrong turn.
There is no one path for you to find or lose.
because all paths will teach you something
and that is the whole point.
Writing Prompt:
